Description
Barcelona is the capital and largest city of Catalonia and Spain's second largest city, with a population of over one and half million people. Located directly on the northeastern Mediterranean coast, has a rich history, having been under Roman, then Frank law before declaring its independence. Known for its food and drink (tapas bars, the abundant and inexpensive wine, the superb and reasonably priced lunches), its creativity and long inspired artists, including Antoni Gaudí, Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró and its bohemian bars and nearby getaways. Barcelona is one of the world's most stunning cities.
