Description

OUR HOME IN COSTA RICA

The seventh chapter of our South American adventure takes us to the south of the Nicoya Peninsula. We chose to set our base in Santa Teresa. A beautiful laid-back surfers’ beach town, framed by a broad strip of forest which keeps the pristine image of the coastline with its long sweep of white sand beach washed by the pacific surf and backed by jungle covered hills.

We will have space for 20 awesome people, staying in spacious, high-quality apartments. They come equipped with good internet, plenty of space for work and play, and a setup that will make you feel comfortable and productive.

ADVENTURES + THINGS TO DO IN COSTA RICA

Costa Rica is filled with never-ending activities, gorgeous beaches, a plethora of wildlife, yummy food, and super kind and helpful people. Adventure awaits around every corner. We don’t even have to go far from where we stay to tick things of our bucket list.

UNSPOILED BEACHES

Playa Santa Teresa and Playa Carmen rank among the most beautiful beaches of Costa Rica and you can make long hikes along the picturesque coastline, bathe in tidal pools or find a nice place under a palm tree for loafing and reading a book. Call it ‘Paradise’.

ADD SPICINESS TO YOUR LIFE

Protein, veggies and carbs are very well served in Costa Rica and get often combined in form of a traditional “casado”. The local cuisine uses a variety of spices and flavors to excite your mouth and ensure you get the energy and nutrition you need.

WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN

This tropical paradise has an eclectic choice of bars and nightclubs for you to offer. Once the sun sets in surf town Santa Teresa the party heats up from the beachfront bars to poolside lounges - beautiful people dancing until sunrise on the weekends. Come and join for some live music, cold drinks and tasty treats.

OFF THE BEATEN PATH

Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and smells of the Cloud Forest. Located in the Central Highlands amid a volcanic mountain range with lush primary forest, the largely undiscovered Bajos del Toro is a great destination for nature enthusiasts and hikers. Climb a volcano, go horseback riding, river rafting or zip line through the treetops.

KEEP CALM AND DO YOGA

Revitalize your spirit in an unforgettable and soul enriching getaway. Surrounded by clean air, flowing ocean waves, large oxygen rich trees and animals, Santa Teresa offers you the perfect environment to reconnect and balance your life.

MEET THE RAINFOREST ANIMALS

Costa Rica has some of the finest and most varied wildlife viewing on the planet: From tracking toucans, great green macaws and jaguars in the rainforest to watching turtles hatch on the beaches by moonlight and of course don’t forget the cute sloth.

As a traveler for over 10 years, save $1800 and go on a real adventure, don't pay these clowns to hold your hand

As a traveler for over 10 years, save $1800 and go on a real adventure, don't pay these clowns to hold your hand. You can find groups for free, it's called other people. This is a lame version of what you can be doing yourself. You don't need a support group, you are ready to take on the world.

Knowing how lonely the nomad life can be, I looked for nomad retreats, co-living and houses

Knowing how lonely the nomad life can be, I looked for nomad retreats, co-living and houses. I picked Wifi Tribe for its affordability and exciting locations. Diego’s friendly vibe confirmed my choice during our first call :) All in all, it was an amazing experience in Florianópolis in Brazil. People at Wifi Tribe are diverse, engaging, exciting - therefore this is perfect opportunity to male new friends outside of your comfort zone.

Everyone was genuine, kind, funny, and honest which facilitated a very inclusive group

Everyone was genuine, kind, funny, and honest which facilitated a very inclusive group. Despite coming from different career/industry backgrounds people were serious about their work. I also appreciated that the organizers made an effort to make sure no one was feeling ostracized yet keeping a healthy distance to let people make their own choices.

I chose the tribe for their month-to-month flexibility and the close-knit community feel

I chose the tribe for their month-to-month flexibility and the close-knit community feel. Because each chapter only accommodates 20 ppl, it lends to the feeling of traveling with a close group of friends. There's no separation within the tribe, no cliques. Everyone feels like they belong. The tribe members all have a very inclusive, friendly, and engaging personality. It was like we’d known each other for a long time and were really good friends. Love how open everyone has been with sharing their stories, remote work insights, and professional skillset. The networking and collaborative aspect of the group is top notch! I'm already planning on rejoining the tribe for two more chapters this year, and more next year!

Great group of like-minded travelers with a work hard, play hard attitude

Great group of like-minded travelers with a work hard, play hard attitude. Highly recommend joining the tribe, especially if you are considering whether the digital nomad lifestyle is for you. Great people, excellent locations, strong sense of community.

Wifi Tribe was the perfect place to start my super hardcore digital nomad life

Wifi Tribe was the perfect place to start my super hardcore digital nomad life. Diego and Julia are super welcoming and did a great job fostering a sense of community / making everyone feel welcome. I stress this because some nomad groups have a "you can't sit with us attitude." Anyway, I also had Diego running around the city helping me with Visa issues, doctor's appointments, and so on. He probably hated it a lot but he never complained. I had a great time and can't wait to meet up with them again. All tens. Great value. Would recommend.

Can't believe it's my last day in Nicaragua today-- The last 3 weeks with the WifiTribe have been seriously amazing

Can't believe it's my last day in Nicaragua today-- The last 3 weeks with the WifiTribe have been seriously amazing. I got to live in a big, beautiful house with some really awesome people from all over the world, travelled to some cool destinations (and hit up some sick parties ) on the weekends, and got a lot of work done... always with an ocean view. The digital nomad subculture is a quickly growing one and I think anyone who is currently working from home should learn about it. If that's you, check these guys out and if you dare, go meet them in Portugal next month!

If you’re still looking for your tribe, look no further! I joined “the tribe” in Bolivia and had an amazing experience

If you’re still looking for your tribe, look no further! I joined “the tribe” in Bolivia and had an amazing experience. Not only do you save on expenses by traveling in a small team, but the tribe provides a creative atmosphere where you can bounce ideas off one another and share experiences and skills. The major advantage of co-living/working with the Wifi Tribe is building lasting relationships and really getting to know who you’re on this journey with, which would be impossible with the other larger, remote-living groups out there.
